About

The HandMay-d Crafts blog features the work of  Rich and Sheila May. Enjoying retirement they both dabble in photography and love to travel. With a new grandson, many of their crafting endeavors are geared toward children.

Sheila is a genealogist who combines her family history endeavors with paper crafting, digital art and photography. Book arts have become her primary focus in the last year.

Rich is an avid woodworker and has been for over 40 years. He has built everything from harpsichords to sailboats. His furniture fills their home. Recently he has begun focusing on wood turning, specializing in inside/outside turning. Some of Rich’s turnings are for sale at the Miya Gallery in Weaverville, NC.

  1. Your wood work is wonderful. Can only imagine what the furniture and sailboat look like. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Do you sell your bowls?

  2. looking at those candlesticks, I’d love to see your sailboat!
Thanks for stopping by my blog, I’ m glad you liked my entry for the weekly photo challenge: let there be light. That’s a pretty cool photo up there on the top of your page, and the birds are cute too 😉

    • My last name is May and we do crafts…started out as a way to post the crafts but I got hooked on the photography…my daughter in law set it up for me so I do not know all she did to the site…only that I love it.
